Door two · Days 1 to 30

Welcome. Your first 30 days start here.

Take a breath. You don't have to learn everything this month. This path walks you through your first 30 days one small step at a time, and it shows you what can wait.

Go at your own pace. Skip ahead, step back, or stop for a week. Nobody here is keeping score.

The path

Your first month, one step at a time

Find where you are and start there. Most people don't walk it in a straight line, and that's completely fine.

  • A station on the path
  • A side path, if you need it
  • The line fills in gold as you scroll down
  1. Nobody expects you to know it all yet. Not today, and not this month.

  2. Small and steady is the whole secret. Bad days are part of it, for everyone.

  3. Everyone who helps you means well. You still get to go at your own pace.

  4. Lonely is not the same as alone. Someone is ready to walk with you.

The path keeps going

After your first month comes your first year: your first Ramadan, your first Eid, holidays with family, and the quiet months in between.

Talk to a real person

Sometimes you need a person, not a page.

The first month can be a lot to carry on your own. These are independent organisations, not part of How to Muslim. We point to them because they do this well.

If you are in danger Call your local emergency number now. You can also find a crisis line in your country.

For your own situation For a ruling on something personal, like a marriage or a debt, please ask a qualified scholar or your local imam.

A note on safety No one from How to Muslim will ever message you privately, or ask you for money in a message. If someone does, it isn't us.

Free to read, no account needed. Every page here is open to you without signing up. If you'd like a gentle note now and then, you can leave your email for our newsletter. It's optional, and you can unsubscribe any time. Like most websites, we use analytics to see which pages help people.
